Nicaragua - Week 1

Hi all,
Travis left the MTC Monday morning at 3am, headed for Nicaragua via SLC airport > Dallas > Miami > Managua. He got to call me and Tim during his layover in Dallas and he called and talked to Alex & Logan during his layover in Miami. He got to Nicaragua around 7:30 pm (at least that was the plan)...so it was a LOOOOONG day for him. It was so good to hear his voice and find out how he was doing. He's been fighting a cold, but it was not bothering him to fly, so that was good.

This morning I sent him a "greenie" package full of green things that we have been collecting for a few months now...ouch! that hurt the pocket book. Tim got a call from our Elder today! He called to tell us it would be better for us to call him on Mother's Day and we set up a time. I'm pretty excited to talk to him again...then it will be a long wait for the next call.

Anyway, he and his companion are opening up a new area in Sabana Grande. It looks rather desolate on google maps. They get to hunt for their own apartment and blaze the way I guess. I'm looking forward to hearing more about his digs and his companion when we talk to him Sunday.
